Damage to the streams, land, and trees, is a legacy that Helene has left in Western North Carolina. On Saturday, February 21 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, the Blue Ridge Resource Conservation & Development group is coordinating a group of agencies and organizations who are working to either repair that damage or reduce its effects in an Open House being held at the former Bowman Middle School in Bakersville, NC.
